MFC in C#

I wanted to develop an Application using MFCs. I am totally ignorant about MFCs. I just wanted to know whether i can use MFC in C# or will i have to use only VC++ itself. If i can use C#, then please direct me how to use it. An example code would be more helpful Thank You

Please note that the Application never starts. With respect what i have interpretted from your code, the above code which i've given implies that no matter what you do (press some key on the keyboard, click mouse) the event will be blocked as long as the value of "locked" is true. Can i have your email address and MSN/Yahoo Id so that whenever you are online and i have some problems, then i can solve them there and then. THANK YOU

Mr. Mike, as per your specification, i've added the following code into my form. private bool locked; protected override void WndProc(ref Message m) { if(locked==false) { base.WndProc(ref m); } m.Result=IntPtr.Zero; } private void Form1_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e) { locked=true; } With the addition of the "WndProc" override function, the system throws an exception while running the application. Also i've found through MSDN, there is one more function called "WindowProc". Also please let me know the "DllImport" i.e Win32 API method of implementing the same function. Thank You

Things such as blocking key presses and mouse usage can be done by intercepting windows messages in the wndproc of the form. e.g. protected override void WndProc( ref Message m ) { switch (m.Msg) { WM_CHAR: // do your blocking here for characters m.Result = 0; // set this to 0 when finished else it will crash break; WM_LBUTTONDOWN: // do your blocking here for mouse m.Result = 0; // set this to 0 when finished else it will crash break; default: base.WndProc(ref m); break; } } I haven't tested this, but I suspect this is how you do it. You can also use the DllImport attribute to bring in Windows API calls such as GetKeyState to look at keys here. -Mike

Thanks for the information. I wanted to block the usage of Keyboard when my application is active. From someone i came to know that using MFC one can do that. So i was wondering how MFC can be used for that since i dont know MFC. Well can you just help in this case. My requirement is to block the usage of keyboard and mouse when my application is active. Blocking means the user must not be able to even switch to another application by pressing Alt+Tab. This means the user should not be able to Keyboard and Mouse for anything. Help of any kind is highly appreciated. Thank You

why would you need to do mfc in c#? stick with only c#, as it can do EVERYTHING mfc can do, an a lot better and faster. use this forum for examples, there is tons
