Meta data being fetched from some other location

Question

I have hosted a website on Azure app service and then pointed it to a domain, I bought from godaddy. But now when I search for the site online, it shows the meta data of a file that is not in my site. My guess is that it is form the page being hosted by the previous tenant of the site. How to I get rid of the page ? Thank you in advance! - Nairisha

I was able to pinpoint the file that was causing the problem. A page db_lookup.php was intected in one of the default wordpress theme, and it was updating the site each day. After deleting this particular file, the problem was solved.

After searching we found out that the root files of our website is being injected with source code and many files have been changed. We tried removing the files, changing its password and tried our best to check if there were any other infected files but after removing the injected source code it reappears after a while (approx. 24hrs). The attackers might have already created backdoors and might have infected many files which goes unnoticed while scanning. The index.php file is being injected with base64 encoding mechanism and is fetching information from unknown source.

I consulted with godaddy help team, but they say it is not an issue from their side, but may be from the hosting company i,e Azure. Any idea what could have gone wrong there?

I've check in and added the required data but it is still the same. The page that the site is fetching the data is hosted under our domain but, i've done thorough check in the site, the document is not in our directory.

Please chek your Meta data setting again . Maybe there is some problem in configuration .
