MDI - MergeOrder v. MergeIndex.... ???

Oct 20 2007 9:39 AM

Hey All,

I am doing a tutorial that was recorded using an older version of Studio that I have never used.  They are telling me to set the MergeOrder property (This is a tutorial on MDI).

On Express 2005, the only property close to this on a menu item is MergeIndex.  I wasn't sure if this was the right substitute because this property is always defaulted to -1.  Which confuses me.

But I set the 3 menu items on the MergeIndex property but it didnt do what the tutorial was trying to show.

** MERGEORDER according to the tutorial sets the order of Menu items when you merge a child window in with a parent item.  SO if you put a menu on your child with a mergeorder of 2, it would go in between your parent menu items between 1 and 3. **

ANY help on what the conversion of these properties are?  Is it possible that MergeOrder just went away?

Thanks!

t
