Mainain hyperlink to bookmark relationship in converting Word documents to web page with Sharepoint
Jul 9 2011 1:45 PM
I'm know almost nothing about webpage creation, so I'd appreciate making your answers as simple as possible.
I have maybe 20 Word documents that I want to convert into web pages. These documents have a total of 10-15 thousand hyperlinks, all of which point to bookmarks in the Word documents to be converted. Some of the hyperlink-to-bookmark relationships are all within the same document while others point from one of the documents to be converted to another of the documents to be converted. I want to make sure that the hyperlink-to-bookmark relationships will work within the converted web documents and, especially, that when a hyperlink points to another document, that the user will be taken to the bookmark itself and not to the top of the page of the other document.
Can this be done easily using Sharepoint or some other program, or do I have to redo each one of the bookmarks and hyperlinks withing the web pages themselves?
Thanks
