I am trying to link a few groups in AD, but im not sure if it is a function supported within AD, or if I will need an external plugin or script to manage this function.
For Example:
I add User X to App-Permission Group MS Office
I want AD to automatically add them to the distribution group for this applications users eg. Dist-MS_Outlook_Users
I am finding when service desk staff add a user to a certain permission group allowing them access to a specific application they are failing to add them to the distribution group for that application which notifies users of upgrades, downtime etc.
Is there anyway of achieving this... I have thought about nesting but its not going to accomplish what im after.
