Job Title: Test Automation Expert

The Role

The role involves designing test automation framework for applications, working closely with Test Center of Excellence in an agile type development environment. The test automation expert will be responsible for assisting in the creation of a test automation strategy and assisting the projects in the execution of this strategy. Other important tasks include identification of tools/tools set which are fit to use for automation purposes in different projects.

Role Responsibilities

The Tester’s tasks include the following:

• Communicate with multiple stake-holders in order to understand requirements
• Identify the projects fit for automation.
• Design automation framework based on system requirements
• Documentation of all the automation maturity work.
• Produce test reports and analysis of the results for automation.
• Automate tests and execute them in the relevant test environments
• Build a continuous integration framework for the services.

Role Skill-Set

Following are the skills needed for this position:

• The individual should have strong development skills in OOP (4+ years) in C#
• Having experience of developing Test Automation frameworks is a big advantage
• Strong analytical and design skills with the ability to work independently to meet predefined project deadlines
• Have understanding of Development methodologies and best practices
• Have good knowledge of implementing OO Design Patterns
• ASP.NET, Web Services, SQL would be good to have
• Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development, Fitnesse, Cucumber, or related tools and processes is a plus but not a must
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration Testing and the tools used in such a development environment (Hudson, ANT, Maven) is an advantage
• Working knowledge of HP Quality Center
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies
