is it possible to run app .net v 1 on server with .net 4?

It should be backward compatible. See if you have .Net Framework 1 and 2 installed.

I am holding it off for the time being because we do not want to recompile and build any application. Thank you for all your suggestion. I let you know when I move ahead with it. I keep the thread open. If there is another possibilities came.

Install .net framework 1 and 2 then.

Or you can used a refactoring tool and decode the source.

I think I do have .Net v 4 + only. I do not have source do to upgrade it. I do have only executable file.

Otherwise you would have to upgrade it to latest framework.
