Installing Windows Service

Question

I have a Windows Service that I installed using the setup project inside of Visual Studio.  I tried to use the .msi to install the service on another server, the service starts but does not perform work, even under different user accounts (local service, system).  Aside from associated files, like the database, is the .msi the only thing needed to deploy the service on another computer?
