In Which type of project ASP.NET MVC is better?

Question

My question is that when we can create website using wordpress and other CMS with php in very less time and resource then why should use ASp.NEt MVC. I mean in which type of project i should use Asp.NEt MVC instead of other programming languages(php) and CMS.

I mean when should i prefer Asp.Net MVC and When should i prefer php for a website
