image processing - levelset method

Question

hai.
i am doing a project named ' Glaucoma Detection from fundus image of eye '. in this project i need to track some shape . After my long searching i understand that  'Levelset method' is the best method that is suitable to my project. i read lots of papers about levelset method. but didnt understand more.
  i want to know is levelset method can implemented using c#?
  can anyone help me to understand levelset??? .
