If we remove web.Config or machine.Config

Hi.... Ques : Hello all of you now I have a some conceptual problem please explain If we remove web.Config or machine.Config from the application then, is this application will works?

Hi Manish, if Web.config file remove from application ,then it will workproperly, only if it does not contains connection string,session state,security etc. These are explicitely written by devloper so it can work properly. But without machine.config application won't work

Hi Manish, Web.config file defines configuration for a webproject.Using AppSetting section we can define user defined values.Example below defined is ConnectionString section which will be used through out the project for database connection. If we remove the web.config file from the application it will work provided the application does not use any settings from web.config file like ConnectionString. Web.config files apply settings to each web application , while Machine.config file apply settings to all ASP.NET applications. If we remove machine.config file, no application in .net neither windows nor web apps will work Thanks
