IDS Informix 9.x

Question

first of all, sorry about my english, i´ll try harder to explain my self. Anybody has experience using C# with IFX 9.x? do you think i can switch safely from vb 6.0? im working on database windows applications, what improvements will i have if i switch to c#. Im very interested on c# and .net framework but i´m still afraid of change, soon i´ll be needing web forms and everything must work with informix. i have been using asp.net but my question is, do you recommend switch vb 6.0 to c#?
