I need Pocket PC development info...
Jun 20 2004 1:40 PM
My dad gave my his Dell Axim Pocket PC. I am interested in doing some programming for this thing, but am having trouble. I downloaded all of the resources I can from Microsoft's site, but the compiled apps will not run on the device. My main problem is that I do not know what version of Windows Mobile is running and Visual C++ (embeded) does not seem to have a target for the Intel XScale processor. The only info the device gives me is that it has Microsoft Pocket PC Version 3.0.11171 (Build 11178) and an Intel PXA250 processor which is refered to in another control panel as an Intel XScale. Nowhere on Microsoft's site is XScale or PXA250 referenced. It would also help if I knew if I was running Windows Mobile 2002, 2003 or even if I was in fact running Windows Mobile. Any help? TIA, Mark
