I had this idea (need some advice)
Feb 6 2006 9:37 AM
Hello. I have this idea of creating some commercial software. I was thinking of writing remote control software, with at least these functions: * Remote desktop * File transfer (a la Windows Explorer) * Process manager * Remote webcam * Shutdown, Log off, Reboot I don't want the clients to have open ports, so I was thinking of creating a webservice, where the clients check like every 20 seconds for an update (if they have to connect). Here a small picture to make it more clear: http://img73.imageshack.us/img73/4126/naamloos7va.jpg * Server set the main server to let the client connect * Client checks main server if it has to connect * If client has to connect: connect, else check again (interval of 20 sec) Can anyone tell give me some advice, if this is a good idea, and some more functions for the remote control software? I'm really sorry if this is the wrong forum, because there wasn't really a forum which I could post this. Thanks. EDIT: For some reason, the lay-out it totally f*cked up.
