I am asp.net programmer and moving towards silverlight. There's a lot of design in silverlight. How important is coding in silverlight. Is it a good career option for programmers.

I am asp.net programmer and moving towards silverlight. There's a lot of design in silverlight. How important is coding in silverlight.I need to convert one of my asp.net to silverlight.I don't any idea where to start to do this.Can u please suggest me helpful tutorials to start the application.
