How to use barcode reader in asp.net?

I wanted to read barcode for stock taking process and check with the stock lying in the particular location. While scanning the barcode using bar gun system has to pass and validate the information and select the particular item from the listbox. please help me to do this as i am facing the problem if i use postback.
