How to show show real-time data on web page.

Question

What I am trying to do is show real-time data, and I want to do this using node.js modules.

The first question I have is, is it possible to achieve this by using Node.JS ,ASP.NET,Mvc,Sql and .Net web application?

I am very new for node.js. I want to know how do I implement this?
