how to set focus on particular panel ?

Question

 i have a gridview having autogeneratedslect button

on click of that select button i have coded a gridview which is at the buttom of the page 

when i click select i need to scroll down to see the another gridview

i want to set focus on gridview when selected select buton 

 

i tried focus/setfocus both havent worked
