how to pass datetime parameter via uritemplate as a string?

am facaing a problem .that is i want to pass datetime varable via uri template .am trying to pass but its showing show error like bellow please help me

 

peration 'TrackTripHistory' in contract 'IService' has a path variable named 'CheckedInTimeFrom' which does not have type 'string'. Variables for UriTemplate path segments must have type 'string'.
