How to license an Application in Winform

Hi all,

 

please i have a serious question bordering my head. I have been reading about license/licensing an app but my major problem is how to implement it. 

 

Let say I have a winform app (actually I have one just developed and I which to license it) and I a license generator, how do i implement it? or how do I use it?, where in my code do I check for this license?.

 

Actually, during my c# class, I was given an assignment to design interface for staff and student registration but later I got an ideal about developing a CBE(Computer based Exam) manager of my own. I've been on it for 6months now, I just introduced it to a school and suprisingly they want to adopt it. This will be my first commercial app, so am looking for a way to protect it atleast.
