How to know whether rad grid has nestedviewtemplate or not

I have a rad grid with nested rad grids.with export format biff I was unable to export to excel.then how will resolve the export issue.my thought is, if we have a nested view template then I am skipping the condition of format with biff.is this ok or any suggestions? please tell me
