How to get gmail api WCF C#?

I need to use the Gmail API to get my gmail friends names shown in dropdownlist using WCF ASP.NET C# in Visual Studio 2012 and also Json/XML, but I don't know how to using. I try to read the documentation provided by Google. But there is no detailed explanation. https://developers.google.com/gmail/api/.
