How to get exp in asp.net mvc as fresher in that technology?

Having 3 years expereince in windows application using c# and sql 2008 but now want to change job. Problem is everbody wants exp in web technology whether it is html5 or css or asp.net or asp.net mvc so what to do to gain experience? Any free asp.net mvc project sites?
