How to extract the data from .doc using vb.net

Hi all, I want to know how to extract the data from word file exactly using vb.net.. For eg... Resume filtration .. My program should give the name,dob,addr..... from a doc file and it should be stored on SQL server.. As i'm new to dotnet,i hope somebody will help me to get out of this...Thanking you
