After patching SharePoint 2019, we ran Config Wizard and after completion a page opens up instead of CA page. The display message says...Welcome! How do you want to configure your SharePoint farm with two options  1. YES, Walk me through the configuration of my farm using this wizard [ START THE WIZARD] and 2. No, I will configure everything myself [CANCEL].

Which option is correct for me to proceed, clicking on [CANCEL] it opens up CA but the upgrade status has FAILED.. and I'm not too sure about the 1st option.

Thanks any help will do.

In this situation, clicking on "CANCEL" and opening up the Central Administration (CA) page is not recommended because the upgrade status is showing as "FAILED." This indicates that there might be issues or errors with the upgrade process.

To proceed, it would be best to choose the first option: "YES, Walk me through the configuration of my farm using this wizard [START THE WIZARD]." This option is designed to guide you through the configuration process step by step, allowing you to address any issues or errors that might have occurred during the upgrade.

By selecting the first option, you will have an opportunity to review the configuration settings and make any necessary adjustments to ensure a successful configuration of your SharePoint farm. It will provide a guided approach to fix the failed upgrade status.

Make sure to carefully follow the instructions provided by the wizard and review any error messages or prompts that appear during the configuration process. If you encounter any specific errors or need further assistance, please provide more details, and I'll be happy to help you troubleshoot the issue.

Thank you Jay,

The reason why I was hesitant with this 1st option is because I already have the farm configured initially when we deploy SP, proceeding with this option might affect what we already have in place - customize branding with site collections created.

But I'll proceed with the 1st option now and let you know the outcome.

Thanks again.
