How to draw vector from a label and save it in .AI file

I am trying to create a vector graphic and save it to .AI(Adobe Illustrator) file. My label is a code EAN which is displayed so I need to create a graphic vector of this code. Is it possible ?

I can display the code EAN in the label but can't draw it...
