How to do Hardware Requirement?

There were random question asked,

Give me hardware requirement for s/w developed on Production enviornment.

 

can any one provide me how one should go about it?

with my expreince on couple of projects I simply give following

Database Server

- Ram – minimum 8GB (Preferred 16 GB)

- CPU – Intel quad core

- HDD - Minimum 7200 rpm (Preferred – Solid state drive)

Application Server

- Ram – minimum 4GB (Preferred 8 GB)

- CPU – Minimum intel dual core (Preferred intel quad core)

- HDD - Minimum 7200 rpm (Preferred – Solid state drive)
