how to connect SQL Server 2005!very urgent...help frnds

I just follow the steps
1.Click All programs
2.Select SQL server Express 2005

Then I dont ve default server on tht server textbox.....SO i get it from cmd->hostname...Then I copied ot to the servername in tht servername textbox....But I get a error msg as "
