How to connect remote device in java through tcp/ip socket?

Hey Friends,

I want to connect with my remote device through tcp sockets where server is my laptop and client is my device , when i did communication between server client i install server program in one machine and client program another machine. but how to connect a server (laptop) and client (device) to transfer files or data in bytes between both, because we can not load client program in device. anyone help me please i could not found idea about this.
