How to connect a dekstiop apps with online database?

Hi frnds...

i have develop a desktop application.And now my company want to use that application at four branch on the common databsae.
And i want to host my data at server and want to use that data at all the branch with my desktop application. But i dnt getting any idea about that.
So please give me some solution as soon as possible.
