How to check whetherthe checkboxlist is check or not in ajax

How to check whether the checkboxlist is check or not inside the ajax success .When the ajax is success first it check the checkboxlist is checked or not.If Chekboxlist is not checked it pass some values to service,if itz checked the checked values pass to server.
