how to access viewdata from one controller to another view .

View Data or ViewBag :- Only Use inside a page; that means if you are set the any value inside a view Data or view Bag in controller and immedatly going to any view then you can able to access the data inside ViewBag/ViewData; but keep in mind that if you are setting the ViewBag/VeiwData value inside one controller and the view which you return from controller in that view you are not using that viewbag and viewdata value then it's become null for other page.

Note:- Viewbag and Viewdata values only persist for the page which returns immedately by the controller.

For eg:- I Have a view called as Index.

and inside controller Index action method i set the value of viewbag and view data and i am not accessing this value inside index view page which returns from the controller, then the value of viewbag and viewdata become null once the index page successfully render.

So what you do if you want to access the value of viewbag and viewdata to another view that means i set the value of Viewbag and view data inside Index action method and i want to access these value inside Home view.

For above case you must need to go with TempData rather then Viewbag and Viewdata.

Because the TempData value only persistance for other page.

Note :- Tempdata also having some limitation that once you use any where of the page and again want to access value inside another page then you can not.

For eg:- I set the value of Tempdata inside the Index action method and i used it inside Home view page and again i am accessing those value inside the About page then i am unable to access.

from your controller, are you redirecting the corresponding View? Or are you redirecting to a different View?
