How to access publicly asp.net webforms system using SSL

Hi! I want to make my webforms application accessible via https. I've searched several videos and tutorials on how to create a server certificates using IIS. I was able to create one. I tried it and i worked. But, when I will access my application outside our network, it fails. Can someone teach me or point me to a right direction how to run your application in https? Thanks in advance.

Hi Laxmidhar, Thanks for the reply. For a start, I'm using the self created certificate from IIS. But, if I will try to access my application publicly outside our network, it can't be accessed. To make my self clearer, let's say https://www.mysystem.com is ran using my company network, the self created certificate works fine and can be accessed, but, when I accessed it using my personal internet and not the company, the https://www.mysystem.com is unaccessible.

hi hold on There are two types of ssl . you can create your own certificate (condition to for one year only ). Another is perchase from a vendor (look it where you purchase your domain). Which one u like ?
