How do you connect a windows phone project to a sql database and use web services for data manipulation? Source code will be very helpful if provided.

Hi All, I'm trying to design a mobile banking application using Windows phone as my user interface and SQL Server 2008 as my database. My programming language is c#. I have already created the user interface but I'm having some trouble connecting the windows phone app to the sql server database.           

Please help in any way possible. Source code will be helpful if provided.
