How Do I Update DateTime Field in Oracle

Question

Can someone help me.... I using ORACLE as DB and I'm trying to update a DATETIME field using value from DateTimePicker control. I get error "SYSTEM ERROR" doing this. can someone tell me if I need to convert the Picker value..and HOW?
