How can I run a unit test on a JSON file

I want to unit Test a JSON file.

Basically, I want to use the debugger to step through the code.

I am checking for fields being present and reporting them as they fail

Can somebody help

You can use Post Man software for testing the json at any level of testing.

If you are going through the programatically then go with the below code
public static bool IsValidJson(this string strInput)
{
    strInput = strInput.Trim();
    if ((strInput.StartsWith("{") && strInput.EndsWith("}")) || //For object
        (strInput.StartsWith("[") && strInput.EndsWith("]"))) //For array
    {
        try
        {
            var obj = JsonConvert.DeserializeObject(strInput);
            return true;
        }
        catch // not valid
        {
            return false;
        }
    }
    else
    {
        return false;
    }
}
