How can I Disable or lock a datagrid?

Question

I have a datagrid and sometimes I don't want it to answer any events. I have set Enabled to false, then it appears dimmed but still responds to events. I have also tried with AllowPaging = false but paging still works, not correctly but it works. How can I lock the datagrid to avoid any events? Can anybody help me please? Thanx.
