How Can I check Database properties "Status=Normal" from C#

Hi!

I want to know: how can I check Database properties "Status=Normal" from C# program.

I don't want to check this status from SQL Server Management Studio. I want to check the status from Visual Studio.

Now I use Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server Management Studio 2008.

I'm a beginner. Thanks.

you can use command in c#
using (SqlConnection cnn = new SqlConnection("Data Source=.;Initial Catalog=yourdb;Integrated Security=SSPI;"))
{
   SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand("SELECT state_desc FROM FROM sys.databases
WHERE name = 'youdb'",cnn);
   cnn.Open();
   var isReadOnly = cmd.ExecuteScalar();
   Console.WriteLine(isReadOnly );
}
