Hosting issues in website and api

Hi, Hope you are doing well. I have hosted a website developed in Asp.net Mvc on Azure Vm. it works fine, but when I host Api besides website the api is accessing the configuration file of website thus not working.

I have created separated folders from both and set the default folder path to the website folder but web is finel api is not.
