horizontal scroll in DOS

Hello, I am fairly new to C# and I have no idea how to do this. I would like create a string that scrolls back and forth horizontal in DOS? Do I need to work with any string class to accomplish this? What I don't understand is how to keep a string on single line when moving it back and forth. Any help would be great! RK
