Hiding only some of the icons in a TreeView

Hi all, I am trying to place an icon at a parent node and have no icons for it's children. was hoping for a flag of some sort to turn on/off but no such luck. any thoughts? I would very much like to avoid placing an empty square for an icon and have a nasty gap before the text... thanks, Alon
