Help Required in Coding

Question

Dear All,
I am a student of BCS, i want to create my website with latest techniques, Could anyone guide me what code pattern should i use.
For Example
Should there by 3 layers, (Presenation, Business or Data Access) or is there anyother way for it. How can i use Webservices, Inshort i want to use the best technique to develop my wesite with all the option of Classes, Webservices, AJAX, Cache Layer etc etc...
Please guide, As this is my University Project i want to make it Perfect... Kindly Help me....
If possible Kindly attach a sample code structure. How classes will interact , where to write services how to call them in different pages.
