Guidance for Latest Technologies and career Developement

Question

Dear all,

          

    I am working as a Level 1 and Level 2 automation engineer in a Steel Industry. I have 10 Years of Industrial Experience. I have experience in PLC and SCADA Development and

 modifying the .net applications provided by the technology supplier as per the Plant requirements.

   Now I am confused in selecting a my career path. I have basic understanding in .net technologies and Oracle Database. My job is query a Database and create reports in crystal reports, managing modifying a windows based .net applications. I am willing to enter into software industry. 

   Kindly guide me which Field I can choose and  certifications suitable for my career growth.
