gridview updating database using textboxs

Question

Hi have been struggling long with this issue hope someone can assist me.I  have a project to make "Gyming website" so have to insert new members update etc. my issue is with updating my database. using visual studio 2008 and access 2007. so have a textbox with a new value and want to update the gridview rows and columns then use the accessdatasource1.update() method and the databind() to me this makes sense but its not updating. also have a picture that want to display. used the file upload to save the path of the picture to a database "haven't saved it yet hence my update issue, I manually entered a path in my database" then on page load want to load. gridview get the path from it and put it in the image1 control. this too work. did yet try the update in the profile page my main focus is to make the picture load first
