Grid+Jquery+drop down binding based on previous dropdown

Hai all,

 

is there any way to bind one drop down based on another drop down (like countries and state scenario) using jquery or jquery ajax calls in gridview ..i 've done the same thing using ajax cascading dropdownlists...but i need to learn with jquery or jquery ajax calls ...any leads,...is it possible ..
