Global Variables Storage

Question

Hi !
I come from web based application construction. I would like to know if anyone has an example on how to store Sessions in a windows form or a console application.
For example : I need to Store a username upon his Login. Next, using a Sql server, I need to log his activities on the application.For that I would need to store his login information somewhere.

If any one could help......
