Getting/Retrieving Sharepoint 2013 List data

Hi, I have created a SharePoint provider hosted SharePoint 2013 app in visual studio 2012. I have a SharePoint site where a list x is created and I want to retrieve the data from that list. This SharePoint site is different from the site attached to my project. I am using plane asp.net pages and with c# as code behind.
