Getting on track with programming

Myself Akash Patel completed my Bsc.it last year and went on a year long break. I will be pursuing my computer science masters in US next year but before that I want to get myself equipped with latest technologies and programming which I could not concentrate. Please suggest what to do after this long break in order to get back on track and continue learning. Thank you
