Getting exception at executenonquery...how to resolve ??

I created a registration page..in that i fill date from calendar in textbox...when i debug it, receiving an exception like "The conversion of a nvarchar data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range value." bt without filling date if debug , it works...how should i resolve it...?? plz help me
