Getting data from a distance sensor

Question

I need to get data from distance sensors (Sharp GP2Y0A21YK0F) to visual c#. do you know a way to do that. i found a way to read data with HyperTerminal but i cant get data from HyperTerminal to visual c#; if you can tell me a way to do that it will be very helpfull. thanks for your answers.
